It was announced that Aldi, the City’s newest grocery store at 155 Hillwood Ave. in the Tower Square shopping center, is slated to open to the public on Thursday, Feb. 21 with a ribbon cutting set for 7:50 a.m. that morning.
The rapidly-expanding chain offers a twist on the traditional grocery shopping experience. Stores sell a streamlined selection of mainly exclusive brands with an emphasis on discount prices. Customers rent grocery carts for a quarter and bag their own groceries.
The Falls Church store’s layout accommodates additional refrigeration space for fresh foods. Around 20 percent of the ALDI products are new as compared to last year. This is a great addition to the Falls Church Community!
