The Toy Nest in Falls Church, VA!

Nestled in the heart of Falls Church, VA is The Toy Nest, the city’s first toy library – a place where children can go to explore a variety of toys and games that they can borrow or come back to play with again. The Toy Nest is holding their Grand Opening June 19 – June 25 with fun freebies, goodies and prizes!
Owner Lisa Bourven came up with the idea for The Toy Nest from her own personal experiences as a parent and hearing the dreaded “there’s nothing to do!” from her kids who while had toys all around them, wanted something new. The concept of the Toy Library is brilliant. It gives children the opportunity to explore new toys and games that keep them interested, occupied, and learning, and parents don’t necessarily need to bring them home! The Toy Nest offers play space with a wide variety of toys that can be enjoyed at the store, taken home temporarily, or if really enjoyed, purchased. Parents or guardians can join in on the play, or sit back and watch while enjoying comfy seating and complimentary coffee, tea and water!
Lisa had planned to originally open the store prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. While no in-person play has taken place until now, they were able to offer toy rentals with curbside pick-up over the last several weeks. Toys were thoroughly sanitized and enjoyed by many who were confined to their homes! Now that Phase 2 is allowing more businesses to open, The Toy Nest is open, allowing up to 2 families inside at one time.
Memberships are available and include toy reservation privileges, unlimited play and borrow visits, a two week toy borrowing term and renewals, and discounts on event and party bookings. More information can be found at www.thetoynest.com. Stop in for a visit at 98 N Washington St Falls Church, VA.
